Behold the Magnificence of the FF Leo Necklace

People. Prepare yourselves emotionally, because here in front of my 1950s Wade Lion ornament is the FF Leo necklace, a result of my organic and collaborative design process with Red Phoenix Emporium. It looks Visionary worn short:
It can be worn by any starsign of the Zodiac! Not just those born under the Hair Obsessed sign of Leo! (although let's face it, it will look super on them)
You can wear it long too. This is the Versatility of the FF Leo necklace.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
I know. It matches perfectly with my Hermes scarf thingy covered in elephants (I've said it before I'll say it again, Maitai makes this scarf tying malarky look easy but it just isn't. You practically need a degree in physics to action it properly).
even the temple dog's a Fan.
This is me today, freezing, in a light Topshop coat sourced from Selfridges in London in 2003 and a By Malene Birger frock from theoutnet.com
I haven't forgotten the 1st FF Necklace. We're still very happy.

This is La Pazitively Hot Pink by Opi. And these are the Blondies that I took to the Coalface and foisted onto my Fellow Coalminers.
I got a lovely parcel in the post today from Susan, a reader from America. Look, just look at what she sourced from a discounted book shop for $2:
Exciting! I love a book about Our Leader.
But wait, there's more. Susan also sent these killer polishes by Sally Hansen! I love them. Thank you, I am thrilled. The thank you card is in the post.
Ok, it is freezing here and really windy. You can only imagine the havoc this causing with my 'do.
Meanwhile Tony Abbot used the word "Visionary" in his election campaign today, but I think it was in connection with a policy and not about Fashion.
I see Kristy Fraser-Kirk is suing David Jones and its former CEO for $37 million for (alleged) sexual harassment. It will be interesting to see if she succeeds in being awarded punitive damages. Alannah Hill has an opinion on it.
Stay warm.

  3. Wow, love the new necklace, such a superior colour!Strange you should show it today, FF; my first 2 RPE necklaces arrived in the post today, and I LOVE them; I'm just sorry the Coco and 1st FF necklaces are out of stock, but I'll get my mitts on 'em as soon as they are available! Many thanks for bringing them to my attention. I give the Leo FF a big 11/10! xx

  4. What a perfect shade of pink you have chosen for your necklace FF! I adore today's outfit. That jacket is to-die-for. Your outfit today reminds me of a combination I am enjoying with my fabrics at the moment of plain hot pink linen with black and white check....weird I know!

  5. Love the new Leo necklace, and how Visionary of you to have it matching your Hermes! What a nice gift from Susan, knowing how your love Our Leader!
Well done Kirsty Fraser-Kirk but I hope she doesn't send DJ's broke! Thought Alannah Hill's comment quite stupid.

  6. Pilbara, thankyou! I wonder how much Jackie's Fearls will sell for???

  7. I don't find Alannah Hill witty or clever. I think Fraser-Kirk is pretty blood brave and I hope she teaches David Jones a lesson. Alannah Hill would do well to remember that women are her clientele* and they are capable of passing judgment on her comments at her cash registers.

    * Not this woman. I find the whole Alannah Hill "look" ridiculous; it screams "Art teacher on crack".

  8. Bodie, I am glad you like the necklace. It goes on sale Thursday but I thougth I'd show it now.

Anna, I think the pink and b and w check sounds Superior. Hope you choose it.

  9. It is all out in the pink! And truly belongs with a hair do and a half. The multi facet arrangement is visionary. xx

  10. Oooh very exciting about the new necklace! How glamourous.

I wonder whether the issue about the Djs sexual harassment case has now become more about the money not the issue?

  11. love the second necklace! anything with pink in it is always a winner in my book.

im 100% supportive of fraser-kirk. good on her for having the guts to say no and for standing up for herself!

  12. I used to love those Wade ornaments - I had a hedgehog! I think your next accessory design has got to be a charm bracelet with dangling Wade ornaments. It's Visionary.

  13. FF Leo necklace - 11/10

Fraser-Kirk deserves to be heard in court and not tried in the media.

  14. I feel embarrassed for Alannah Hill. She needs to learn a lesson or two in the art of discretion. But more importantly, the new Leo necklace is delightful!

  15. I had a hedgehog too, like Thats Not My Age! (in the 1970's) - Wade animal that is!! LOVING the new Leo necklace FF and the Top Shop coat looks brilliant with it and the pink polish. What temperature did you have today in Brisbane.... at least the sun was shining it seems - not like here in Melbourne - brrrrr - only reached 14 degrees C. x

  16. Not my age that is a brilliant idea- I'd love a wade charm bracelet. I would LUFF it! 11/10.

  17. Not my age it did get to 20 degrees but that photo was taken at 12 degrees! early at about 7 am. I have tonnes of wade animals, tonnes!

  18. The FF Leo necklace = Pink Perfection!
    Especially like the short variation.
Have just noticed the new photos FF, specially you and Mr FF enthusiastically dancing.

  19. Given she has said she will be donating all her potential compensation to charity I say go for it.

If it is to support women (and men for that matter) in sexual misconducts cases then good on her. She is a brave individual.

If it's proven correct that company and Mark McInnes need a large slap in the face.

  20. That necklace is 11/10!!! Visionary! And it does coordinate nicely with the scarf.

How cool is that Jackie book?

I haven't made blondies in quite a while, but my recipe actions butterscotch chips...mmmmm.

  21. I think admitting that you were the sure-thing brunette that someone embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal turned down is somewhat lacking in decorum. I will be watching this case with interest. I don't think she'll get punitive damages but I do suspect it'll settle out of court.

  22. The pink is glorious! Congratulations on another visionary collaboration.

  23. Dear FF, my parents have the exact same blue temple dogs. I remember them from years gone by. I asked them today if they still have them and they do. I told them to get on the blower quicksmart to "Antiques Roadshow" as they might be sitting on a goldmine! Now, I am starting to think about Christmas - it's coming very soon you know. I have been collecting decorations for years, but none of them seem to go together on the tree (however I can't bear to part with any of them). Looking at your tree from last year, you have a myriad of different things, but it works - what's the secret? My big Sis always does a colour theme and buys new decorations each year. I'm considering this now, but would love to make the old ones work. Help! Can we have Christmas Decorating 101 workshop FF style please. Clare x

  26. Ff am out of the loop and have no idea what Alannah is rabbiting on about suspect it is vacuous and no sisterhoodish. Can someone 'splain?
    Loving the new necklace 11/10.

  27. Kate B - Kirsty Fraser-Kirk is suiting David Jones for $37 million for sexual harrassment by their CEO. Designer Allanah Hill commented that she wished the CEO had 'touched her up'as she'd had a crush on him for four years!

  28. Kate,

    give Galleries Lafayette my love!

Kristy is suing DJs and Mark McInnes who is the former CEO (he has resigned and is overseas now) for harassment for $37M. She is in her 20s and worked in the publicity department at DJs. She claims that he said and did inappropriate things and busted (unwanted)moves on her. It is on the news and in the papers everyday. Kristy has released a statement to media about her situation. She is claiming $37M in compensation, $35M being punitive damages. Alannah Hill has now released a statement saying she made the comments in jest and that she is sorry for any offence.

  29. The alleged thing is thrown out the window, as he virtually confessed to the harrassment and resigned due to his behaviour! He can hardly challenge it. Although DJ's is obviously challenging that their sexual harrassment policy is in fact adequate. $37m is a bit rich though!

  30. Love the necklace. It is not the first offensive comment that Alannah Hill has made, something she said a few years ago about people over size 14 made me never buy her clothes after that, and donate the ones I had to the op shop.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Allanah, Allanah, Allanah...
What was she thinking? Clearly, not much...
Think this was a (poor & naive) attempt at humour & she just didn't think of the consequences.
Sexual-harrassment is serious stuff and all Ms Hill has done is made herself look really stupid and ignorant. She has certainly done herself (and her relationship with her clientele*) no favours with this gaffe.
    * ditto comments made by previous commentator!

    Anyway, onto more important stuff..
    The new necklace is stunning!
Mr Leo the Wade Lion looks very happy holding court over it (is that a little smile there?)and Mr Temple Dog looks like he is positively gasping with excitement!
..and how sweet of the lovely Susan to send you such thoughtful gifts. The cover shot of "Our Leader" is so beautiful - she exudes class, style and elegance - perhaps Ms Hill could "take a leaf"!!!
    xx

  32. I love the vibrant pink of the necklace, such a pick-me-upper! Can't wait for the pics from the launch.
Meanwhile my collection of soothing pink products is growing. Just purchased a Nine West ultra pink zippered clutch. From now on I'll be known as "that weird woman with a shocking pink bag".
Congrats on the Jackie book, what a thoughtful gift!

  33. Many congratulations on your fabulous and stylish Leo necklace, dear Faux Fuchsia! Two fantastic ways to wear it, and perfect with your gorgeous Caparaçons scarf. You can take me up any time for a scarf tying lesson, not that you need it though, you always look fabulous wearing them!

  34. FF I don't want to give you the creeps, but I passed you walking home in that pink coat. I was going for my afternoon brisk walk. I think you were eyeing off my super flattering walking pants, they're the envy of all of Paddington/Red Hill.

  35. Madame you should've stopped and said hello!

    ReplyDelete
  36. FF I think there is gross overreaction to Alannah's comments. It was clearly meant in jest in the context of a $37million damages claim which is just ridiculous when compared with the damages awarded to people with a life altering significant injury like quadraplegia after an accident.

    ReplyDelete
  37. congratulations! to both - the necklace and your birthday!
will we get a chance to see pics of the launch-party? I am sure you are already uploading them :)

  40. I love this post. I am a leo and I have a multitude of leopard print in my life including a leopard print broom. My OPI collection is huge. The energy put into maintaining my hair is massive. All my leo friends are exactly the same re: hair, nailpolish and leopard print. hahaha. And that necklace is ultra-leo, I love it.
