Fexican.

Lately I have been actioning a substantial number of completely inauthentic Faux Mexican dishes. I know.
I don't know who I am anymore either.
But I will say this. Fexican dishes take moments to assemble and By God they are Delicious.
Who's hopping on the Fexican Bandwagon with Me?

  1. Looks rather more authentic than a lot of the Australian "Mexican" restaurants produce!

I am indeed actioning Fexican tonight - pulled beef tacos and butternut chipotle fritters.

    1. Foodycat,
Butternut chipotle fritters?!!! Don't exactly know what this is, but sounds delish!

    2. Very easy - grated butternut, an egg, a bit of flour, some chopped spring onions and a spoonful of chipotle paste (smoked dried chillies). Fried by the spoonful in a spot of butter. Totally delicious.

  2. The thing I love about Mexican dishes is that almost everything is finished with a squeeze of lime - delish!

  3. Fexican is one of my favourite things to cook and eat. Had tacos twice this week, once at home and once at my parents. Delish. So quick and tasty.

  5. Mexican restaurants tend to be child friendly, we love Pepe's @ Newmarket. Your Fexican looks a bit high end by comparison.

  8. Love Mexican and Fexican which we whip up a lot. One of my fav restaurants is Mamasita's in Melb. It is delicious and worth every minute of the annoying queue for a table.

  9. Hehe 'Fexican' - fabulous! Did you (or Mr FF) actually eat that entire chilli on top of the dish of fachos? If so I am in awe!!

  10. Fexican is the best! So quick and healthy (well if you forget about the cheese and sour cream). It is our go to cuisine in summer.
