Excuse me, but how utterly Gorgeous is this snap of my little boy (on the right) with his friend from the Orphanage little C (on the left) ??
I know. They are just too adorable for words. I hope they'll get to be in the same class next year.
The Orphange Christmas party was nice. I baked some triple choc brownies to take along.
They were the Business.
Wore some OPI shorts story
And I channeled a ginger jar. It seemed the Sensible thing to do.
This was Me:
After all that excitement this one practically fell asleep on my friend M
I used my Time Wisely at the Orphanage Party.
I arranged an end of year drinks event for next week for the Mothers and the Excellent Orphange Teacher.
Can't wait.
Can I just say that we hit the jackpot when we got the Baby a place at this particular Orphanage. The staff are just brilliant and he loves it there. So lucky.
Righto, I'm off to action my Fanksgiving Meal (turkey, ham, pies, the Whole 9 yards)
But 1st I might make myself a burger for lunch.
Because that's just how I roll.
What are you up to?

Young Master FF is truly adorable with his little friend C! That brings back memories... When Miss M was of Orphanage age, we were lucky enough to hit the jackpot too. Fabulous place, wonderful caring staff, and she loved it! I have never ceased to be grateful that we had a win in the whole Child Care Crapshoot. (She's now 23 - where did those years go?)
ReplyDeleteStill loving your blog as always, and admiring your productivity! xx
Thanks Milo J. The year has gone too fast. He's learnt so much at kindy. I don't want this 1st special year to end!
DeleteOh what a cute friendship! I am so glad your boy has made good friends at The Orphanage and the teachers are all great too. Bonus you're friends with all the mums too x
ReplyDeleteLoved this post
We are so lucky carly. You hear horror sories but all our teachers are kind and generous. Childcare workers are underpaid and overworked and they do an AMAZING job of caring for our precious children.I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at the kindy.
DeleteThat's so sweet. It's so lovely when they make a special friend, and it makes them so eager to go which is a bonus. Outfit is lovely as always. That's nice you've met all the other mothers too..... I literally never met the ones at my children's, drop off times were all over the shop, so wouldn't often see them. Enjoy fanksgiving. xx
ReplyDeleteWell I'd only met them a few times in 12 months because like you my drop off times are variable...but they are all v. nice and let's face it, we deserve a drink! x

DeleteDear FF,
DeleteI can't tell you how worried I was. I have been commenting at a rate of knots and not properly re reading, a slip on my part, and I thought oops I've done a boo boo.
The world is still on its axis and I can sleep more now. Thank you FF for your reply.
Have a good sleep, B. x

Gorgeous shot of Baby FF - it is so lovely seeing our precious darlings embrace their buddies!
ReplyDeleteThis weekend is filled with organising/decorating for my Pre Primary Mum's lunch that I am hosting on Monday - like you, we decided that such a busy year deserves some "mummy" quality catch up time over a "banquet with some bubbles". I am looking forward to a relaxing day after caring for a child struck down with Scarlet Fever this week - how they worry us sometimes!!
enjoy your dinner tonight!

Update on the day - ventured out for a quick trip to Spotlight for some fabric to make table cloth for Monday's lunch - saw a cushion I liked, so in true FF style, I bought 3 of them!!! Plus I added some sparkly fabric to the trolley and then received a 25% discount at the checkout - BIG day out!!

Dear Ms FF, Such a wonderful photo of Little FF and his friend. I was astonished at the authentic warmth and caring of the orphanage we had our girls at in Camberra a million years ago too. I think that good and loving people are drawn to the caring professions. You always make me laugh when you channel a ginger jar! I am applying nail polish right now - one has to keep oneself nice! I hope the Fanksgiving was lovely. love Lindaxxx
ReplyDeleteThat photo of Little Boy FF and his friend is so cute it made me give a little squeal of glee! So sweet! Good work on the drinks organizing!

Adorable. My little girl and her bestie will be in different rooms next year as said bestie is a couple of months older and starts school earlier. I am mega sad about this. My little one doesn't know yet but there may be tears.
ReplyDeleteOh FF, those two look SO content and happy together chilling by the tree! The photo is adorable. Master FF looks tall (if he and C are the same age)...
ReplyDeleteYour energy is boundless - well done you for arranging another party, seems like a perfect reason to party to me.
I've just got up to start my Saturday - we will be having a quiet one at home, just fed the ducks it's frosty outside!
Enjoy your thanksgiving meal, have a great day.

Tres cute...
ReplyDeleteLove the photo, too cute for words, nothing like a bro hug at that age. Love how you know your boy is living and learning lots. I am with you about childcare like a lottery - I am due back at work in Feb and only managed to hit the jackpot by finally scoring a place. Only after calling and having a whine and practically begging. I hope the place I take my daughter is good because I don't have any other choice!!
ReplyDeleteThat first photo just melts your heart. How beautiful. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteK xx
FF, I insist you divulge a)how you find the time to roll out dinners worthy of royalty while still looking glamorous ie. do you sleep? and b)how you manage to stay whippet thin while consuming said dinners??? I must know! and then replicate!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad baby FF (or should that now be Master FF, he's all grown up now!!) is having a great time at daycare. His photo with his little friend made me smile!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at drinks next week!

A beautiful photo FF and one to be cherished. I have similar pics of my boy and his best buddy from kindy and it seems like yesterday. Next year the best friend is getting married and my boy is best man. I know...

They look super-cute. So sweet. he must have his mother's gift for making friends.
ReplyDeletei love that photo. my oldest made friends with a little boy in pre-school and they are still friends today. they went to school their whole lives together. and now are both 33 and still friends. it's quite sweet really.
ReplyDeleteSo darn cute xx
ReplyDeleteThat is the SWEETEST picture of Toddler FF and friend. Just warms my heart. I love your ginger jar impression too, well played!
ReplyDeleteHi FF!
ReplyDeleteI need your advice: I fell in love with this dress:
http://www.cosstores.com/Store/Women/All/Draped_pleat_dress/7084-4420504.1#6239726
It looks heavenly and I feel like a greek godess wearing ist. But are pleats a good investment? Or will they be around for some more seasons?
ReplyDeleteThis could blossom into something special Miss FF. I kept in touch with a preschool friend through the years, through our parents. We both moved around the country a bit. And then the planets aligned and we ended up living very close and sent both our boys to preschool together and they became friends! Very Lion King of me I thought.

What I'm up to is being confused at 'orphanage' usage. BAH HA HA!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how fast he's growing up! Slow dowwwwnnnnn! I want to share that my daughter and I saw the last of the Twilight movies today, it is the best one imo. Then we shopped till we dropped and get to enjoy one of the best parts of Th/Fanksgiving dinner - the left overs! Enjoy -
ReplyDeletevery sweet pic! I still have all my son's daycare pics! it seems like a million years ago ...
ReplyDeleteit is hot up there...actually a warm day in Sydney I couldnt do all that heavy duty cooking!
ReplyDeleteUtter gorgeousness in that hug!
ReplyDeleteOh FF, that photo is adorable. Is his little friend the son of Mother Down Under (http://motherdownunder.blogspot.com.au/)? I have a hunch...J x
ReplyDeleteyes that is MDU's son! They are kindy friends.
DeleteI hope they are in the same class next year because they get on really well x
Hitting the jackpot Orphanage wise is huge. You are lucky there are so many horror stories out there. They do christmas early though, it almost retail like.
