The other night we went to the Happiness Place Christmas Party.
I wore a pink navy and orange See by Chloe strapless number sourced on the cheap for $65, yes $65 from the USA outnet site when it was part of the up to 85% off "clearance sale". Which is now finished. Seriously, you can hardly buy a frock from Target for $65 these days. I know. Bargaintastic.
Here's a Visual:
Threw on some teeny tiny pink earrings and OPI's Shorts Story
And Lotus let me borrow this necklace:
I matched perfectly with the Decor.
You can visit the Happiness Place website here.

What a pinkalicious frock!!! :)
ReplyDeleteInspirational outfit!!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic! Was that the first wearing of the CL's? A perfect match!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to Brissy for work the week after next. A trip to the HP is top of my list!
P xx
tell them I sent you x
DeleteGorgeous. Hopping over to take a look at The Outnet now. xx
ReplyDeletethe clearance sale finished a while ago I'm afraid.
DeleteYou look fantastic! I also love a subtle earring. So nice of Lotus to loan you that necklace. It's great with that dress.
ReplyDeleteFF, my little girl is looking at this post with me and is in raptures over your pink shoes. You have a small fan here.
ReplyDeletethat is so sweet!
DeleteThe minimalist nature of those earrings is simple perfect.
ReplyDeleteEmily
ha! x
DeleteFf you look excellent and über youthful in your pink designer threads. Love that shop.
ReplyDeleteWow! Smashing pink. I am feeling colorless now.
ReplyDeleteWha!? $65? I LOVE it, and tore over, but it's now at 165 pounds- $250. SAD face! I may still have to make the purchase.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, unless you are earning pounds, why use the UK outnet?
DeleteI only ever shop on the USA outnet site.
Because that's just how I roll when the dollar is strong against the greenback.
And here I was thinking I was the only one "tricking" the Outnet! I just assumed you used the UK site as most people do. The pounds conversions are just far too depressing.
DeleteNow, back to my envy because I just ADORE that frock!
P.S Didn't mean to 'question' you... wanted in on how you scored such a buy, yes!
I hate to tell you FF but unless you visited a different outnet, that dress is listed at 144.37 GBP which converts to $221.89 Australian dollars
ReplyDeleteI hate to tell you this Anon,
DeleteBut about 10 days ago the dress was available in ALL sizes in the limited time "clearance sale" on the USA site for $65.
I never ever use the UK outnet site because the USA site has a much more attractive exchange rate.
So I have nabbed myself a deadset bargain because as you've very cleverly noted the clearance sale is no longer on and the dress is at the higher price.
I actually paid less than $65 because at the time the Aussie dollar was $1.04 against the greenback.
I know. Lucky Me!
Seriously who are all these people questioning the price of the dress? Clearly she didn't purchase it the night she wore it, she said it was bought online so of course you had to have delivery factored in.
DeleteSign up for emails from the ounet.com and you will be notified of the sales. The clearance sale on the USA site was amazing- so many things were up to 85% off but there were all non-returnable and couldn't be exchanged.
FF I saw that dress but I can't wear strapless so I didn't get it. But I did get some other cheap frocks.
love the blog x
You look ah-may-zing. The dress is killer.
ReplyDeleteI might get changed out of my tracksuit pants tomorrow. You have inspired me.
Hope the lurgy has been quashed.
K xx
Dear FF,
ReplyDeleteOh my this is the happiest post.
That ensemble is seriously fuschia tastic.
The necklace looked thes best and what's not to love about a dress under $100.
B. x
thanks B, you are a true stalwart and I love all your comments.xxxxx
DeleteI have wanted a fluffy fake flamingo all of my life, that is the happiest basket I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteFluffy fake flamingos are key x
DeleteWow you looked great!
ReplyDeleteThankyou! I loved the outfit.
DeleteHi, FF. quick question. Was the dress on extra special at theoutnet.com? Because my working of the exchange rate has the dress at considerably more than you paid. Or did you have a promotion code?
ReplyDeleteThe dress was indeed part of the "clearance" section sale that was on about 10 days ago. Not "extra sepcial" which means 30% off but the "clearance" section which was on for a limited time and you had to sign up for.
Delete*special
Deleteohhhhhh. Do tell how you ended up scoring that lovely dress for $65 :)
ReplyDeleteIt's currently listed for £144.37 :(
Original price £320.83 NOW £144.37 55% off

Dear B
DeleteI always use the USA outnet site.
About 10 days ago there was an 85% "clearance" sale on the outnet and it was $65 and at the time the exchange rate was good- the dollar was $1.04 against the greenback.
Sign up for their emails so you can see when the "clearnce sales" are on- they last for a finite time and items are non returnable.
FF, could you please give a link to the US site. Every search keeps taking me back to the UK site.
DeleteYou go to the UK site and on the top left it should say what country you are in. I always click "International" and when the list of nations pops up click "USA".
DeleteDo not click Australia as you will be directed to prices in pounds- Australian dollars are what you want.
Sign up for emails from the USA site too.
There are definitely 2 sites.
Am shocked that people were unaware.
They carry different stock and do different sales.
The dollar is so strong against the greenback so it makes sense to shop from the USA.
You rock!!!!
DeleteHi FF. Well you looked so darn good in that dress that I hot-footed it to the outnet and used the generous voucher given to me by my colleagues in the legal department at my coalface (thanks ladies!) and bought myself the same dress. And then I went to Red Phoenix Emporium to try and source the necklace (we Leos do nothing by halves) but was stumped...is it the winter/summer? Or did you obtain a bespoke one-of-a-kind-piece? Rest assured I live in Sydney so there is little chance of a dressastrophy...plus my paws have been destroyed by the evils of shellac and/or its removal process (avoid that like the plague...its been months of split nails - should come with a warning) so there is no magic in that department for many months to come. Thanks for a great night of shopping. Fingers and toes that it fits! Emma
ReplyDeleteGood for you.
DeleteI am unsure of the necklace details but Lotus will know and she will sooner or later advise via this comment section.
Because she is very organised about things like that!

You're right I do read your blog religiously, especially all the comments where all the action is!
DeleteWe have a lot of designs don't we! The necklace FF wore is called 'Everyone's a Winner, Baby' from the Pop Collection.
If you are in Brisbane the necklace will also be available from Stone and Metal in New Farm at our to-be-announced 'RPE Retrospective' featuring ALL our designs from our six jewellery collections! It will be on 30 Nov and 1 Dec. You heard it here first!
Cheers,
Lotus

Hi Em. You already were a glamorous, groomed, blond, 40-yr old lawyer with a penchant for online shopping. Now you'll have the dress too. You really are the faux faux fuchsia!
DeleteCan't wait to see the dress on you. I'm sure it will be a winner for all the 40ths at the moment.

Love the whole outfit - pink perfection!
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely spectacular as always - such an inspiration! Thank you so much for The Outnet tip. Who knew that it got even better than the old UK site?!?
ReplyDeleteFF,
ReplyDeleteYou really snapped back after having that baby! I'm still working on it, even though my baby is turning 21 next birthday.
I gather you're still pursuing your excercise plan, you look slimmer in each photo.
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is pinktastic!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, need to get me a Red Phoenix Style necklace.
Thanks for the tip re: Outnet. Tricky. I probably speak for many when I say I didn't realise there were X2 sites that Aussies could purchase from!
ReplyDeleteThe Outnet really just directs you to the UK site, as the USA site "appears" to only ship to USA, Canada, & Latin America. Will tick USA now though.
No more Pounds Sterling purchases! Thanks :)
Dear FF, you look smashing! xx
