Thursday.

I love those tricky little Instagram filters don't you?
Meanwhile this was me yesterday embracing black white and yellow and mixing my high end designer clobber with my chain sore finds like No One's Business.

When I popped into Jean Brown recently this is what I saw.
Prepare yourselves Emotionally People, because these are some Hard Core Good Accessories that you Shall Covet.
You've Been Warned!
Look it's my Mischa tote (The Summer Tote) and a little Friend

Who doesn't love a sparkly shoe? Or bag for that matter?

This was the baby in November last year. He was, not to put too fine a point on it, what could only be described as Bald. Ha! Those days are over.

This is one of my favourite blog photos-

Today I channeled a large Ginger Jar. Sourced on the Cheap from Black and Spiro.
This was Me:
Here's the Proof. If you need a Visual:
I see Mr Obama has won the election. I liked his victory speech. Thanks to everyone who told me the reasons why the US election day is held on a Tuesday. Who knew? Meanwhile tonight Mr FF and I are going to dinner with friends. It's been organised for ages and I for one am Excited! Mum's going to babysit  (Hooray to the factor of 1 million!) and I've already made her dinner and decided that I might wear Halston. As you do.
The blog's turning 3 in a month. Must think of something to do to celebrate. And we'll have to action a Giveaway with lots of high end, top shelf, no rubbish prizes. As is our FF Tradition.
Can I just say that all the real action on this blog takes place in the comments section? Love reading the comments.

I can't believe you didn't tell us what you made your mother for dinner!!!!!

This will hurt you I think, but I for one am really happy it's getting warmer because my hair DRIES ON THE WAY TO WORK.

Also it's appropriate weather to have an Amaro Nonnino on the rocks.

  8. I hot footed it to Target and bought that lovely yellow & black top arrangement after seeing it on your blog last time. I love it! Now I'm tempted to get that blue & white one as well.
I too like to mix my high end clobber with bargain buys and I find you a real inspiration in this regard.

  10. I specifically bought pink shorts to match that Target ginger jar top, also from Target. The best!
    Yay for Obama!
We don't get out much just the two of us so I would be crazy excited if we were tonight. Have a lovely night!
All your pics are lovely. I saw a cute nativity scene yesterday at Aldi for I think $19, might go back and snaffle it up I think, seeing your tree has made me come over all festive like.

  11. Ive also been actioning the hot pink/ blue and white combo lately. Can't get enough of colour at the moment. Hooray for a mid week dinner out with friends- I love a mid week get together. So happy to see Barack Obama back in again, he's just so likeable. And his wife and daughters are gorgeous too. We got the Christmas GHD stock in this week at my coalface, I almost wish mine would break so I can get a lovely new one!

  13. Not only was baby FF bald 12 months ago but he couldn't get at the christmas decorations either. So there is good & bad with him getting older & that continues until they are about 21.

  14. Dear FF,
Loving the b and w to start the post.
The mix it up nature of that outfit, tres chic, the necklace is shining in its gloriousness.
Oh the glory of the Jean Brown, does it get any better - sincerely I doubt it.
All four mini men were bald till about three and now they are covered in what can only be described as a glorious head of hair. Man of the house does have great hair and mine is pretty damn good as well. Mine were also slow to get their teeth but now they shine.
A glorious ginger jar outfit if I must say - I actioned gorgeous blue pants with a superb country road puffy sleeve blouse, seriously loved myself sick today.
Be prepared but the decorations were added today and the tree will be photo ready by tomorrow, it's very nice.
Enjoy your night out and what a lovely grandma baby FF has.

  16. I am resisting the siren call of the Mischa tote (for now), but fell for those Ancient Greek sandals, I wander around feeling very Goddess like in them (I got the black ones).

I'm enjoying it and it's too much work for to put a tree up for only 30 days!!! people think I'm crazy but I don't care. 26. Beautiful pictures. I almost forgot how wonderful your Christmas Tree was last year.
Lucky Baby FF - even if he was bald last year, the superior hair of the Fuchsia clan was always in his future!

  27. I went to Target last night again. Don't know what it is but i can't seem to get their stuff to work for me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Now those clutches of yours, that's a different story. They definitely work for me.

Gosh blog is 3 years old soon. I can't begin to tell you how much has happened in my life in that time. Looking forward to the birthday shenanigans.

  29. While the Jean Brown accessories are wonderful, what I'm coveting is your lunch! Looks delicious, although maybe I just need to eat some lunch.

Love the black and white with a touch of yellow look.

Exciting that it is nearly 3 years. Three years of beholding the magnificence, running not walking and embracing a very pink 11/10 blog. A visit here always lightens my day.

  31. Dear FF, I'm a long time reader, first time commenter from Hong Kong. I wonder if I know your sister through a couple of degrees of separation? I'm a Brisbane girl who has been away for 13 years and your blog gives me my weekly little taste of home.

Anyway, the reason for writing is that ages ago, there was a great photo of you and your friends holding monogrammed iPhone cases at a dinner somewhere. Can I be cheeky enough to ask where you got them? Yes, I am in the land of copy Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs and other designer iPhone cases... But I thought they could be a fun Christmas gift for a few jaded HK Tai Tais.

Also, thanks for all the great food shots of the delicious things you cook. Going out is wonderful in HK but I'm sick of trying to cook what would be simple Donna Hay and Bill Granger recipes in Australia and spending $100 Australian on grocery ingredients in Hong Kong. Lamb chops are currently $8 Australian each! Therefore, I eat at home by proxy through your blog. ;-)

    Cheers and thanks, PTT xx

    1. Hello, I will ask them about the iphone covers and advise.

You might know my sister. She is very tall and only wears black.

Why are you trying to cook Donna Hay when you live in China? My sister whinges about food prices in Honkers too, so I will tell her what I tell her (with love):

For 12% to $15% income tax and 12 hour a day house maids who are paid $450 Aust dollars for a 6 day week a month, you must simply learn to Suck It Up.

If I were you I'd start changing my meals to reflect where I was living. I'd shove the high cost of lamb to the back of my mind and I'd focus n all the loely benefits of living in HK.

  33. Three years of inspiration - thank you for that gift! Re the election I'm amazed at how quickly we get results now - I remember years ago no one knowing until the next day who won - this year it felt like I'd barely gotten home from the voting place and President Obama was president again. I always enjoy reading the comments on your blog as they just add to the entertaining and informative value of your posts. I love the FF universe!

Keep up the great work, your blog is an inspiration to us all.

  36. I adore your Christmas tree. I know you hate clutter though and don't like in a huge house, so where does the tree hide in the off season?

I desperately want a Christmas tree. It isn't the religion that gets me but I am a sucker for tradition and celebrating milestones as the year passes and seasons change (even if we are in the wrong hemisphere). I have a housemate who loaths Christmas and is dead set against the idea. Do you have any tips to win him over?

  37. I had bald babies up to at least 1. Because of this I actually find it strange to see a baby with lots and lots of hair - kind of like they have a little toupee on. Happy 3 years to your Blog. Yours was one of the first blogs I read consistently. It was also the first I commented on. You've inspired me in many ways, such as finally getting around to cushioning my sofa in the bedroom. xx
