4 December 2012.

I am luffing this Red Phoenix Necklace sick! Put it on your Christmas list People. It goes with everything! Run Don't Walk because it will Sell Out.
Wore OPI's Koala Berry on my paws. Comfortingly slow to chip
Luff bees? Channeling Napoleon minus the wars and untimely end?
Well then you should get this Guerlain fragrance. The lid has a bee on it, there's a hive thing on the bottle and it smells like summer. What's not to love?
Can you believe this 40 degree heat? It's like wading through Soup. Thank God for air-conditioning.

I carry photos of my son in my wallet and a photo in my bag. He's found it. Look-
I've removed the fence and he's only pulled a few decorations off the tree. So far so good.
My Mum bought me these Christmas books in 1974 and 1975 respectively. They've survived a million  decluttering culls and I'm going to introduce my son to them this Christmas. They remind me so much of my childhood.

Hankering for some gratuitous garden and cushion shots? You've come to the right blog.

If there's one thing I luff more than a Royal Wedding it's a Royal Baby! My Mum bought my sisters and I this book in 1982 from a newsagent. We loved everything about Diana and just couldn't get enough. My sister emailed me today and said she remembered Mum telling her that Prince William had been born!

This is my 999th post and tomorrow FF blog turns 3. I'm feeling downright sentimental about it all. My most popular posts were when I announced I was 6 months pregnant and when the baby was born.
I'm always fascinated when people email me to say they've gone back and read every post. I know. The Commitment!
A lot's happened since then...
Don't forget to watch the Clinton doco on SBS.

  3. Happy birthday FF, your commitment is downright inspirational. My sister and I luff your blog and often ring each other to laugh about your quirkiness . Ps I'm moving to far western Queensland for two years so its comforting to know that some things like reading your daily blog will not change. Mrs G

  4. I'm suddenly feeling old! I remember staying up to watch Charles and Diana's wedding, looking through the Womens Weekly at the new baby Prince and now that Prince is married and expecting his own child! Your Little Prince is certainly growing up! Before you know it he will be starting school - where did the time go? We will definitely be watching Clinton tonight. Did you read his Biography?

  11. Love you in that necklace! Those books look so adorable. I still regret that when I was a teenager I threw away my collection of Enid Blyton books. I loved those books so much. In fact I think I might start collecting them again for my (hopefully) future children! L xx

shows that he's growing up FF.

In case I don't make it by tomorrow Happy 3rd anniversary.
Our blogs are both 3 years old and a week apart at that.

I'm concerned about Kate being hospitalized due to morning sickness. I am sure they are taking the necessary precautions but it's still somewhat alarming.

    Take care,

  23. Congrats FF! I've read all your posts and often reread. Cheering to the max. Am also excited re royal baby. Don't remember Wills being born but do remember Beatrice and Eugenie, the less glamorous royal grandchildren, being born. Although I always thought poor old Fergs was probably quite fun and her girls prob are too.

  30. Hello FF. How wonderful that the baby has turned a corner decorations wise. I love your tree and can see that you would never knowingly under decorate it. What are your thoughts on how many lights one should drape on a tree? I wonder has the baby produced any decorations at the Orphanage? Here's to the next 1000 posts.

  46. An early congratulations in case I don't have a chance to write tomorrow! Faux Fuchsia is always such a joy to read; so full of positive posts and wonderful whimsy, with a little wisdom thrown in now and then among the glamorous handbags and gardening pix. It's all we need, really.

No wonder your favourite symbol is the bee. They're industrious, social, focused and full of energy. They also create the sweetest things.

With your productivity, I'm sure you'll have the next 1000 posts done by May.

    All the best for 2013.

  50. I think Baby FF is now officially Boy FF - he looks so grown up.

I remember discovering this blog on the vogue forum before I was kicked off for starting such unseemly topics as how to clean a car windscreen and if people had carrying devices for their dogs. I knew it would be hilarious as I always loved your posts - particularly that one about being too glamorous for work.

Anyway, I just wanted to say your posts are always a lovely pink highlight in my day!
