Note to self: Do not read FF's blog after sitting down to a pasta dinner and expect to feel as young and glamorous and skinny as the Young partygoers on her blog. It will make you feel blah. Great pix as always FF, hope the rest of your weekend is as lovely xx
ReplyDeleteimagine how I felt standing next to them!!! They were all so tall and glam. Was the best night! x
DeleteBefore darling daughter left home I used to love seeing her get gussied up to the nines for a night out. These young whippersnappers just have the knack when it comes to looking a million dollars.
DeleteMind you FF you look pretty damn good as well.
xx
we were thrilled to be included!!! luff seeing what everyone wore!
DeleteIt's lovely to read through these comments and see how much fun you had at the party FF, am sure you looked just as gorge as they did x
DeleteR's making some arancini with leftover cauliflower and chorizo risotto and i am surfing the webs and having a scotch.
ReplyDeleteTrying to find a good movie to watch... in genre of CIA suspense.
I always feel tall until I hang around people who are taller than me which is 5 foot two.
Enjoy your saturday night X
am seeing that zero dark whatsy today- are you going to??? Those girls were like 7 foot tall!! and stunning! love to R xxx
DeleteYes, want to see it! Tell me whether its good. I saw Jessica Chastain in the debt. Really like her.
DeleteHello, FF, when I try to open your blog nowadays, a warning from Google chrome asks me if I want to do it "at my own risks" because of some pernicious software that could have been sent to you by "liberty london girl". Dare not go on her blog to check !.. Have other readers mentioned this to you ?xx
ReplyDeleteno, I am unsure what this means???? hope it sorts itself out x
DeleteI had the same thing happen to me regarding the warning.

ReplyDeletethans darling- saw M's Noo Yawk snaps yesterday and you were in tonnes- luffing it! xxx
DeleteI miss NYC! Unfortunately, me and a camera lens do not get on. Wish I was as photogenic as you :)

You have a lot of pop in visitors and no wonder as you've always got a cake on the go. Was that blue outfit what you made pancakes in?? Super glam! I made pancakes too this morning, but was in pyjamas. Unfortunately none of my children will allow me a minutes peace until I've prepared them breakfast at the crack of dawn. Love your glam outfit for the young people's party - you would certainly have been up to scratch, regardless of Herve Leger dresses in attendance! xx
ReplyDeleteblue outfit is my friend M- I was in pjs and no makeup! The young people's party was SO FUN!!! I'm friends with the mum, Mr FF's friends with the dad, I'm also friends with both daughters and the grandchild is friends with my son. We may as well all move into a commune x
DeleteI rarely wear necklaces I think partly because I am clumsy and scared I will break them. But now I am starting to think I need some to bring more colour to my ensembles.
ReplyDeleteYou will not be sorry you have Nigellissima. Nigella tweeted a picture of the Italian edition of the book when she went to Italy to launch it and it was exactly the same except the white collared dress was an off the shoulder number. I nearly fell off my chair because the comparison was like nun to medieval bar maid. And she looked twenty years younger.
I was explaining to my mother about stocking up on $1 figs yesterday when she told me she picked up a whole tray for under $4. I wonder if I can convince her to visit me with a couple of trays so I could make preserves? It's possible.
Jealous re figs and I LOVE the white collar dress too!!!
DeleteYes. Looking at the young things, my boobs feel ashamed
ReplyDeleteoh stop it!! after a few drinks and with soft lighting we were all on equal footage.
DeleteAm definitely actioning some pancakes tomorrow morning! My weekend plans are cricket trial games and surf lifesaving championship day...oh the glamour! xx
ReplyDeletepancakes are key!! x
DeleteI'm so impressed with your ability to host the pop-ins with style. I just can't handle that without a phone call 1st!
ReplyDeletethe more the merrier I say x
DeleteYep I feel fat, pasty and dowdy now!
ReplyDeletestop it! they made me feel young and hip! In the darkness of a bar we are more or less all the same age!
DeleteCold and rainy here in Sydney, so ideal reading weather. Am actioning Lola Bensky, on your recommendation, and loving it.
ReplyDeleteLOVED Lola Bensky! such a good book.
DeleteHi FF!! Was in line behind Mr FF this morning getting my weekend seafood fix!! What are the odds!! Hope you enjoyed the prawns as much as I loved my Salmon (they have amazing seafood there!)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your weekend! L xx
that is so funny! he always goes there on his way him from golf for lunch and dinner treats!
DeleteLoved your white dress x
Oh FF, people dropping by unannounced is a bit of a nightmare of mine, not having an even remotely visitor-ready house! You do so well being able to feed & entertain them in, no doubt, immaculate surroundings!
ReplyDeleteGot halfway through a declutter today which is worse than doing nothing. Did a Vinnies drop - they are refusing toys & books which is awkward. Of course went inside & bought 5 books.
Made Madeleine cakes in afternoon then met a newborn baby - perfect.
Love your look in the blue dress.
Carolyn
I love a new born baby visit.
DeleteThe house was tidy but toys were lying about...
you and you clutch look so happy together!
ReplyDeleteeverything looks gorgeous as it should be.:)
i'm off shopping today in orange county to help my friend melinda pick a dress to wear to her sons wedding next month.
can't believe he's old enough to marry now.
take care.
sounds perfect hope you had fun x
DeleteReading this on my iPad in bed on Saturday morning and I now have an urgent need to have pancakes for breakfast!
ReplyDeleteLove, Buphee

Dear Bupphheeeeee
Deletethought of you when I made them because the bottle was Canadian syrup!
mad men's back on soon xxxx
Your life is a whirlwind of fun and food and fashion.
ReplyDeleteOh to be young !
you are young x
DeleteI could not cope with all those visitors, you're a star for feeding them as well. That's a really sweet pic of your two boys together.
ReplyDeleteI luff a visitor!!!!
DeleteThe baby is such a daddy's boy and follows him like a shadow, walks like him, looks like him, smiles like him...too crazy!
I get exhausted just reading your blog sometimes! I remember when Martha Stewart burst on the scene and the running joke was "she's Martha and I'm not," so in my household now it's "she's FF and I'm not"! Always sung out in love and admiration! I do my best to keep up, rising to the occasion, and am inspired to bake a cake today. Enjoy the happy turn of weather - xo
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it was the laziest day ever- I didn't leave the house except to do a bit of grocery shopping and it was all very casual and relaxed and low key. The pancakes and cake and lunch took about 10 minutes ext to make and there wasn't much cleaning up necessary! The Nigella cake is super easy to cook. x
DeleteParis may have stole your look, but you wore it best! And those young things have nothing on you and blue!
ReplyDeletexo, Sam
Ha! My secretary sent me the Paris snap and I couldn't believe it!
DeleteThe girls at the party were so young and stylish- I was thrilled to be included x
Thumbs up to the green necklace and earrings! Cheeky of Paris Hilton, but she'll never win Who Wore it Better..
ReplyDeleteha! who knew Paris owned it too? x
DeleteNo interesting plans but finally picked up the phone and called an old firend I havent seen in ages...it was the highlight of my week
ReplyDeletelovely to see the Jackie O? emeralds
Just logged on again and the warning message seems to have gone - thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteJust off to The Fabric Cave in Sydney to source some fabric and meet my daughter and her friends. They are all gorgeous 6' + young things and have invited me to join them for lunch afterwards. I feel like such a short thing next to them, and I used to think I was tall at 5'6".
Will be interested to hear your thoughts on Zero Dark Thirty.
Have a lovely day.
Lorraine E.
xx
Your friend M's blue necklace is fabulous! As are yours - the one with the green drops looks very versatile. Nothing cuter than a little boy eating pancakes!
ReplyDeleteI loved Zero Dark Thirty, am now madly in love with the CIA interrogator with the dark hair and squinty eyes.
