It's a rainy weekend so the Universe Directed Me to Bake Almond and Berry Tarts. I do as I'm told.
Sorted out some cupboards and had a mini declutter. I've got a big bag of things to take to the Salvos. Everyone always asks where I store my cushions.
In a cupboard of course.
Wore sequins to the Coalface yesterday
Met friends at The Fat Noodle for lunch. It's cheap and delicious. Run Don't Walk.
I like Luke Nguyen's cooking shows and I like his eateries too.
The chopsticks and woks hung from the ceiling are particularly fabulous.
Bought Niece FF one of those adorable Collette Dinnigan for Target ballet skirts.
If it were bigger I'd wear it myself.
Gussied the Child up in Orange squirreltastic Boden. It was a gift from my sister. So cute!
Looked killer with those tiny orange loafer arrangements.
Garden's gone berserk.
Made some pancakes for my girlfriends this morning
and gave M a present for helping me out during Ankle-gate
Any interesting weekend plans?
I'm watching Martha on the Martha Stewart show.
Say what you will about her she is Dead Set Authoritative. No wonder she's the Blog's Domestic Leader.

ReplyDeleteI need to get to Fat Noodle. I am going to hit the city markets on Wednesday, rain or shine, and maybe I can talk my friend into lunch at Fat Noodle.
I will be working from my arm chair with feet up and laptop in lap for the weekend. I am cooking up lamb leg in the style I do my shanks - long and slow. Thank goodness my kitchen is stocked up because I still don't own wellies or a mac and I don't fancy going out in this weather.
the clothes are great- bought mine online and had them delivered to my nearest shoppe for collection to save on postage.

DeleteMartha is dead set authoritative. She spoke at Blog Her, New York, and she had everyone jumping to attention. Her mind works at 50 million miles an hour. She is such an entrepreneur and you could see her brain scheming more brilliant business ideas in the time she sat sitting talking to us from the stage. Inspirational. Wish I had Foxtel. I'd be soaking her in on this rainy afternoon. Relentless rain. I sort of love it though. Had to back the cars out of the garage so that youngest could burn up some cabin fever energy on his ripstick. A-M xx

ReplyDeleteI never have to tidy mine, I only have one change of everything, we own 4 towels and two sets of sheets, so my cupboard only contains two towels and one set of sheets, that's it!

I miss Martha. It was on free to air over the summer, but by the time I found out I only seen a weeks worth and then they put different programing on. I think I need Foxtel solely for a Martha fix.

It's very sunny here. I've been finishing removing the contents of the kid's playroom and the old bathroom/ current laundry ready for the bulldozers later this week. I've done a lot of sorting/ donating/ tidying in the process. It's taken forever. Your garden is looking good. Was perusing a local auction house's offerings yesterday, and saw a bunch of large plastic pots full of bromeliads for auction on Monday (likely an estate). They'll probably sell for $5 a pot. I have no shade, so they're no good for me sadly. I thought of you, but you're a little far to easily send them x

I wonder what Salvos does with your clothes? Surely they don't put them out with the regular things? I never see anything that nice when I am in there!

For Martha fans without Fox - 7TWO are showing programs on week days around 2pm. They also show the English version of Gardeners World which is an absolute joy.

I've never watched Martha but hear she is good - we have some Foxtel channels but I can't seem to find any with Martha. Saw Georgina Chapman as a guest judge on Project Runway All Stars yesterday - she is gorgeous with superior hair. Must have been a while back as she wasn't pregnant.
Joan Rivers seems to be in trouble with her remarks about Adele and Heidi.
Looking forward to Downton Abbey tonight - poor Edith getting jilted at the altar. What a cad !

Love that organised cupboard, it's so calming to have things organised. And decluttering is very therapeutic - taking stuff to the charity shops makes me feel happy! I had big plans to do some more sorting out this weekend but pregnancy tiredness has meant that I've spent more time on the sofa instead. :)
