I told you my bee brooch and I would be very happy. The polish is
OPI Le Pazitively Hot! I think I bought this wrap frock arrangement for about $30 back in 2002. Who knew I'd be wheeling it out 8 years later?

Today I met my Mum at Eurovida for an early breakfast. She's gone home now but she'll be back next week.

We had a
pink themed morning tea at the Coalface to rasie money for breast cancer. My colleague J's husband is a pastry chef and produced this magnificent delicious cake:

Tonight Mr FF wanted veal and spaghetti for dinner. So I actioned some sauce.

and pummeled some veal loin chops with a mallet (So Soothing) and dipped them in egg and breadcrumbs

Voila!
The supermarket is filled with Christmas food products like plum puddings but no pannetone. More's the pity. Hope they arrive soon.

Gorgeous cake! What flavour?
ReplyDeleteHi FF,
ReplyDeleteLove your leopard print frock with new brooch. Lovely nail colour too. I saw pannetone for sale at Aldi a few days ago. I bought one last year, and it was as good as the one I usually get at DJ's, but at a fraction of the price.
Hi FF,
ReplyDeleteGreat post as usual. Love today's outfit. Try Aldi for pannetone- I saw them in there a few days ago. I bought one last year, and it was great- as nice as from anywhere else, and at an inexpensive price too!
pummeling veal with a mullet - definitely soothing! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe bee brooch looks perfect with the leopard frock. Well done!!
ReplyDeleteI'm embracing leopard print at the moment, but not veal. I'm vegetarian.
ReplyDeleteThe bee is perfect! xx
ReplyDeleteThat veal looks yummo, FF! I'll have to give it a go myself one of these days.
ReplyDeleteThe bee is adorable. The Tiffany heart pendant cute too.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when you can pull something out from you closet that you bought years ago and it is still chic. I love that.
mmmm...a zillion-layer cake. how nice to work w/ someone who's spouse is a pastry chef.
ReplyDeleteyour leopard top is a classic- i have a 25+ year obsession w/ this print. it's true. my first piece was a liz claiborne silk tiger print scarf, back in the early 80s when the liz label was actually chic.
Loving the Leopard Print. It's wonderful. And your veal chops are fabulous! I am loving tiny lamb cutlet chops at the moment - frightfully expensive but so delicious!
ReplyDeleteYour bumble bee brooch looks very happy indeed.
I love pannetone. Do you make bread and butter pudding with them?
We can get pannetone all year round (Italian part of Sydney) BUT we don't buy it till Xmas - we always have it for breakfast on Xmas Day. Think I might do veal tonight. Or pink cake ...
ReplyDeleteI have just one question: Why aren't you fat as a house? You are an amazing cook. I loved the veal with pasta, it makes us Californians look forward to some cooler weather so we can cook indoors again. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteThe bee and leopard print are terrific and just what we expect from FF. And Your cooking skills are second to none. But lately I have been puzzling over something odd about your posts. And tonight I realised. What exactly does Mr FF contribute in the kitchen department? I mean - does he ever cook? Here in the UK many of our other halves are quite keen on being 'Chef'. Not just at BBQs you understand. But full on in the steamy action over a stove...Pazitively Hot indeed?
ReplyDeleteLooking gorgeous as always FF. I love everything leopard print and you wear it so well. I've been meaning to ask you about your makeup. You always look so flawless. Is there a particular makeup brand you love ?
ReplyDeleteI like all of these things -- leopard, veal and spaghetti!
ReplyDeleteCant decide what i love more, the brooch or the pink layer cake. Ok, the brooch. But can you swipe that recipe?
ReplyDeleteI should be actioning varied tasks at home today FF but all I seem to have accomplished is to paint my toenails La Paz-itively Hot...of course.
ReplyDeleteYour darling new bee brooch is so sweet.
xx
"Fat as a house"... I love it! Your readers leave the best comments. Love the little bee. A-M xx
ReplyDeleteYou look fab. in the leopard dress - bee very happy resting near your shoulder too! x
ReplyDeleteDear FF
ReplyDeleteYour veal spaghetti looks great.
As does that cake. I am having a pink themed morning tea at my coalface next week.
And I like your brooch. Brooches are my fave item of jewellery.
Hope today was good for you.
xx
I love the bee brooch FF! gorgeous
