Three! Yes Three!

Ist we were 1, and then we were 2 and now we are 3. Three!
I know. I cannot believe it either.
We said Yes to cream cheese icing  (The Queen of Icing) courtesy of the Welsh Lady.
This is my son looking at the sticker-tastic card from his lovely great grandfather:
All the Big Names celebrated with us. Here's the World's Best Grandma:
I wore green Halston
My Mum actioned Old School Frogs on a Pond
M hopped on the Orange Bandwagon
I made a sandcrab lasagne with about a kilo of sand crab and my own body weight in béchamel. Well it was a Red Letter Day.
That's Frank the Harvester from the movie Cars plonked on top of the cake (Thanks Amber!)
 A wish was Made
And because it was a Festival, we had a 2nd cake!
Today I hotfooted it to A's gorgeous home
For cake number 3! Thanks A we had a wonderful day with you and N!
I wore an Old School Castle Starr frock. Here's a Visual of a heavily pregnant me in it in Noosa in January 2011:
Lots of things make me happy, but the thing that make me happiest is being a mother to my gorgeous boy.
So lucky.
So grateful.
So proud.
In Movie News I watched To Kill a Mocking Bird again the other day.
Gee that Gregory Peck was good as Atticus Finch. I remember seeing an interview with him and the (now adults) who played Jem and Scout. They've always stayed in touch.
Mum and I saw Hannah Arent on Sunday. Barbara Sukowa who plays Hannah is incredible. It's the true story of a philosopher who covered the trial of Adolph Eichmann for the New Yorker in Israel in 1961. Hannah is a  German-American Jew and her articles and book about the trial caused substantial controversy. It's very good, and the sort of movie that really stays with you. I give it 4 and a half stars.
And on a happier note thank you so much to everyone who called and sent gifts and cards for the Festival of 3,
the thank you cards are on their way!
xxxxx

  2. Happy birthday to the 3 year old! Cakes look amazing and your mum's bun and your dress do too! Never seen this frogs in a pond but I realize now I had a deprived childhood and missed out. Crab lasagne looks so good except no point in asking for recipe as we don't really have that much crab going that is tasty. Spooky bc I saw that movie this weekend too! x

  39. Happy Birthday to gorgeous Master FF. He is just as lucky to have you and Mr FF as parents as you are to have him as a son. It has become a tradition in our family for me to make individual frogs in ponds for my grandchildren's birthday parties. Fairy bread is also expected for birthdays. We had visitors from Ireland at a recent kids' birthday and they were astonished to see hundred and thousands on little triangles of bread and butter - they could not get over it. Turns out our English friends did not know about fairy bread either. It is funny the things we take for granted. Good old Aussie fare.

A few more loads of washing to get things back in order here.
