Today I channeled Ivana Trump circa 1985 when she was married to The Donald and hanging out in Palm Beach with Big Hair and Seriously Bright Nail Polish. I wore my Pucci frock in orchidea print, you know the one that Liz Hurley owns (Luckily we didn't run into each other today), and
OPI La Paz-itively Hot. I met my friend K and together we channeled
Maitai and went to
Hermes, a place so chocked full of high end expensive designer clobber that I have always been too afraid and too intimidated to go in there.

Once I got inside though, there was no stopping me! First, I tried on this nice Hermes fox fur hat. Apparently there's only one in Australia. I didn't buy it so it still could be yours- run don't walk! Only one in the Nation People. Then I checked out all the scarves and K looked at belts. Then K and I looked at a
Birkin. Yes that's right, A
Birkin. They made us wear gloves before they'd let us touch it. For a brief moment in time
I was Jane Birkin People. Really. A montage of Birkin users flew through my mind: Victoria Beckam, Martha (Our Domestic Leader), Karin Upton Baker, Maitai....it was Very Moving. I didn't buy it and neither did K so if you hurry it could still be yours. It's blue.

Anyway so then they took the Birkin off us and put it out the back and I took the gloves off and bought a scarf. Look how fancy the box is. I was just going to sort of tie it round my shoulders but the people at Hermes actually give you little card type things to show you how to tie your Fancy Scarf. The card type things come in a small cute box arrangement:

I love this orange colour, I'd like some walls painted in it.
Behold the Magnificence of my Hermes Scarf People. Maitai would be Proud. It incorporates 2 of my Favourite things: The colour pink and elephants. It has its own fancy name too-Caparacons. It's written on it in case I forget. No longer am I afraid of Hermes. Which financially is probably not a good thing.
