Chanel.

I went to the Chanel Cruise Collection last night. I'm not going to lie to You- It was Fabulous in Every Respect People. This was Me:

Wondering why these snaps above look more Professional than the Usual FF Photo Fodder? That's because they were taken by a Real Photographer. That's right People. The lovely Amanda. She blogs and has her own website too. Go and have a look-see. Thank you Amanda! For a brief moment in time I felt like one of those people snapped on an ancient  European cobblestone street in dappled shade by that guy from The Sartorialist!
The Hair Gods Smiled, and I actioned an updo with the help of about 3 kilos of super hold hairspray. Here's a visual:
Do not try this at home if your hair is in a silky healthy condition. It works best on hair familiar with heat abuse and bleach.
This Tibi frock's been good to Me.

When we got to Old Government House, there were golf carts to transfer you to the drinks venue. I know. Fancy.
There were Glamorous People as far as the Eye could see.

This is Anna Spiro's bag. She'd better have it stored in a bomb proof safe because I'm thinking about stealing it for myself.
All the Big Names were there. Hi Josh!
The clothes were, as expected, stunning. And worn by lithe young whippersnappers in the First Cusp of Youth. Wispy hair seemed to be a Trend. There's nothing in that for me, but I can see it would suit a lot of people.
A lot of people had followed the Editor of Australian Vogue's recommendation (given to me via Twitter) that they wear what can only be described as Praline Tones.
The setting was beautiful and the People Watching was 11/10.
And don't think we were drinking Australian sparkling either. No siree. Chanel put on Perrier Jouet for us. I know. No rubbish. I wish I'd taken photos of the food because that was high end and delicious too. There wasn't a swag bag. I know. I was a bit sad too, but you can't have Everything.
Afterwards we went out to dinner with Anna Spiro and Brad. We had Japanese. What's not to love?

A massive Thank you goes out to Lotus (Whippersnapper and Social Media Expert to the Stars) who styled me up and Actioned lots of other Important Things like amusing the Baby during Witching Hour while I slapped on my makeup. Thank you Lotus. You are a Treasure.

Behold the Magnificence.

This post is chock full of what can only be described as Truly Magnificent Stuff, so if you're in the mood for common-garden-variety or run of the mill products just click away right this second. The Perfection that is Niece FF did a lovely drawing of me wearing sparkles and superior glittery accessories. I know. Her artistic talents and powers of observation know no bounds. The hair is particularly impressive. Speaking of impressive just look at this cushion:
I know. It's stunning. My Mum brought it back from Europe for me where amongst other things she tripped the light fantastic with Blighty in London. Luckily they came across no riotors or looters at Liberty or Carluccios in downtown Kensington. The only member of my immediate family who Ole Blights hasn't met is my Dad. We'll have to sort something out. Speaking of high end decorator products I went to the Magic that is Black and Spiro today. Prepare yourselves emotionally for the magnificence of what Anna's got in stock.

I don't know about the rest of you but I wanted to transplant this entire room into my home:

Amber this photo's for you-

We live in Challenging Times fraught with stress and worry. Make your home a cosy haven that comforts and soothes and ensures coming home is a Joy. If you don't know where to start, stay calm, don't panic. I'm here to help. Anna Spiro's here to help. You'll be needing some of these:

Because Undercushioning is the Devil's Work. I know this. Anna knows this. And in their heart of hearts, the cushion-less know this too. I'll tell you what else is comforting. Prosciutto Cotto. From the New Farm Deli.

And Italian Pinot Grigio. So refreshing.

Today was a public holiday so tennis and excellent company was in order.

And what would tennis be without superior high end home made cakes for afternoon tea?

One of my favourite people on the planet and fellow Leo has a very special birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday!!! I knew from the second I met her she was a Leo- her hair was a dead give away!

The Jean Brown Sale starts tomorrow. Run Don't Walk. Your Economy Needs You.

Relief and Other Good Things.

Do you like to have little snacky things before dinner? Me too.
The Baby's lovely whippersnapper babysitter gave me this book to read. It's about a lady who tries to inject more happiness into her life. I've just started it- one of the first things she does is declutters her apartment and gets rid of the evidence of her past mistakes. You can imagine how much I was loving that bit.
Bromeliad flowers are always a bit spooky aren't they?
The poor garden's dry and looking a bit worse for wear. It needs some rain.

It's looking a bit neglected and scrappy which is not a look that suits anyone. Maybe I should give things a bit of a prune and chiuck some fertiliser about the traps.

These arrived in the post. Remember how I saw Ole Sarah JP in New New York shooting an episode of Sex and the City back in 2003? She was very skinny.

I sourced the Baby what can only be described as some heavily discounted shirts. These were marked down by 70% and were only $18 each. I know. Cheaptastic. You can just tell he is going to look 11/10 gorgeous in them paired with some long cord strides or maybe some cargo shorts...
You know how I'm partial to a mirrored jewellery box? Well I got my mitts on some more.

and shoved some necklaces into them.

This scarf's been good to me.

You know how I like to buy stuff from the Magic that is Black and Spiro?

Well even if you don't live round these here parts, you can too, because Anna's launched an online site! Hooray. Run Don't Walk and visit it here.

One of my favourite feelings in the entire world is Relief. We got some very good news about the Baby's health last week which brought floods of relief and was a fantastic antidote to Extreme Maternal Distress (which is what the paediatrician actually wrote on the referral to the specialist). Nothing beats Good News.

There was an excellent documentary on ABC2 last night about Dalton Trumbo, a blacklisted Hollywood writer who went to prison rather than answer questions before Congress about his political activities. It's excellent- if you get the chance to watch it, do.

What should I cook for dinner?
