Behold the Magnificence.

This post is chock full of what can only be described as Truly Magnificent Stuff, so if you're in the mood for common-garden-variety or run of the mill products just click away right this second. The Perfection that is Niece FF did a lovely drawing of me wearing sparkles and superior glittery accessories. I know. Her artistic talents and powers of observation know no bounds. The hair is particularly impressive. Speaking of impressive just look at this cushion:
I know. It's stunning. My Mum brought it back from Europe for me where amongst other things she tripped the light fantastic with Blighty in London. Luckily they came across no riotors or looters at Liberty or Carluccios in downtown Kensington. The only member of my immediate family who Ole Blights hasn't met is my Dad. We'll have to sort something out. Speaking of high end decorator products I went to the Magic that is Black and Spiro today. Prepare yourselves emotionally for the magnificence of what Anna's got in stock.

I don't know about the rest of you but I wanted to transplant this entire room into my home:

Amber this photo's for you-

We live in Challenging Times fraught with stress and worry. Make your home a cosy haven that comforts and soothes and ensures coming home is a Joy. If you don't know where to start, stay calm, don't panic. I'm here to help. Anna Spiro's here to help. You'll be needing some of these:

Because Undercushioning is the Devil's Work. I know this. Anna knows this. And in their heart of hearts, the cushion-less know this too. I'll tell you what else is comforting. Prosciutto Cotto. From the New Farm Deli.

And Italian Pinot Grigio. So refreshing.

Today was a public holiday so tennis and excellent company was in order.

And what would tennis be without superior high end home made cakes for afternoon tea?

One of my favourite people on the planet and fellow Leo has a very special birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday!!! I knew from the second I met her she was a Leo- her hair was a dead give away!

The Jean Brown Sale starts tomorrow. Run Don't Walk. Your Economy Needs You.

Martha and Missoni.

If you're bored senseless by my Missoni Knitwear Obsession just click away right this second. You've been warned.
That red YSL clutch arrangement was the 1st thing I ever bought from Jean Brown....I hate to introduce a sad note, but we are all missing Amber round these here parts. She and my sister have been Tripping the Light Fantastic in Honkers. I wish I could click my heels and be there too. Anyway. Don't lose sleep wondering what lippie this is. Mac's Russian Red.

I luff that red elephant brooch 11/10. The baby gave it to me. He's genetically programmed to love shopping for accessories.

I hemmed the curtains. Look:

And sorted out the Undercushioning on this chair

And then, suddenly, out of nowhere, the Universe Spoke to Me, directed me to Channel Martha (minus the stint in Camp Cupcake for share trading fraud) and told me to paint these wooden curtain rings in my dinng room blue. I know. I was as shocked as you are.

I did as I was told

Which resulted in this arrangement:

And then I got busy with my iron on hemming tape and my glue gun and finalised these curtains.

The ceilings are low so I decided against the puddling/puddings effect.

But I can see that the whole puddling shebang would work a treat with a ceiling as high as this-

Are you making pea and ham soup? Me too.

General Miscellania

Something happened today that was so weird and so unusual that I'm expecting the 4 Horseman of the Apocalypse to ride into town. People- Prepare yourselves Emotionally. Because we are Through the Looking Glass Here.
Today I actioned a day time sleep.
I know. I'm shocked too. What can I say?
I was tired.
This is the Garden's lone rose. There was an abundance of Black Spot wreaking havoc dammit.
Meanwhile I am busy stocking the freezer with handy meals that can be eaten with one hand. Behold the Magnificence of my slow cooker endeavours:
I am loving my slow cooker sick. It only cost me about $20. I've made beef curry, osso bucco, a Spanish-esque chicken casserole that my Mum made us as kids and soups. Might action a Thai green curry tomorrow. Just because. Tabitha asked who taught me to cook. Well Mum did and then my Aunt really skilled me up- she is the best cook ever and taught me really tricky things. I used to love poring over all her cookbooks. I think it's weird that so many kids these days aren't taught to cook. I wonder why?
This morning I was directed by the Universe to whip up some sweet breakfast rolls. If you are doing a low carb low GI or low sugar diet you might want to skip the next few photos. You've been warned.
Hello Sugary Buttery Carbolicious Goodness.
Thank God for garden colour delivered via cordylines

Every day this week I've met my girlfriends for lunch or brunch. I have noticed that there are millions of people out there who aren't at work who are hanging out brunching mid week too. Who knew?
I actioned a bun and stuck a white flower whatsy in it.
I was in a shop and 2 extremely glam and well dressed ladies who I think might have been in their 70s with professionally blow dried hair told me they loved my frock and shoes. They made my day!
I am about to sit down and read these:
look how nice the sky looked tonight-
And how cute is this wondersuit????
Wore this on Monday
and on Monday night I went to my favourite place to eat Montrachet with 2 of my favourite girls in the world where I ordered the same things I always do.
Brains.
Crab souffle
and creme brulee
and this was me yesterday.
I found this photo of me taken in about June 2010. I remember it was freezing. I love the beach at dusk. I appear to be wearing what can only be described as a beret.
Prince William's coming to Queensland. I hope I get to see him.
Nothing else to report.
